The city is located in Houston County (Southeast Region), in the southeast corner of Alabama along Highway 84 putting it in the Dothan, Alabama metro area.
Some of the historic sites in the area include the George Washington Carver Interpretive Center, the Alabama Agricultural Museum, and the Wiregrass Museum of Art. Also in the area is the Houston-Love Memorial Library.
Some of the attractions in the area are the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens, Adventureland Theme Park, and a Water World. All of these sites offer a great place to visit and enjoy the stay.
When it comes to education, Dothan has a great variety to choose from. Some of them area the Troy State University, and the George C Wallace State Community College. Both offer a great variety of subjects and wonderful course materials.
