Located 3.6 km (2.2 miles) south of the ferry terminal on Green Rd. at Cape Mudge on Quadra Island, this museum displays items used in potlatch, a ceremonial feast of the Indians of the Northwest. The collection includes masks, rattles, whistles, head and neck rings and other head gear. Photos of traditional Kwakiutl villages at the start of the 20th century are also displayed. Guided tours are available. It's recommended that travelers allow 30 minutes minimum for their visit. Open May-September, 10-5.
