Rebecca - Ruth Candies

Located on East Second Street, this company was founded in 1919 by schoolteachers Rebecca Gooch and Ruth Hanly Booe, who are credited with originating bourbon chocolates. Today the same curved marble bar top that was used during Prohibition is still used in candy-making. The factory produces more than 120 different kinds of specialty chocolate.

Guided tours are available Monday through Saturday 9am-4:30pm in January through October.
