Built in 1917, the "Satterfield Motors" building, was the first permanent automobile dealership in Pointe Coupee Parish. This original building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, preserves the atmosphere of the original Ford automobile and its impact on America. Many of the original documents, pictures, and artifacts found sealed and forgotten in the attic, along with many other area historic items, are on display. Located on the beautiful False River in Historic downtown New Roads the Satterfield's Restaurant offers steaks, seafood, lakeview lounge, marina, specialty shops and banquet and meeting facilities.
