This church, rebuilt in the Romanesque Revival-style in 1859, is the third church constructed on the site and contains a wealth of state history within its walls.
The present steeple, completed in 1866, holds the Annapolis Town Clock. Maryland sculptor, William Henry Rinehart, carved the church's stone altar and font; the brass eagle lecturn is in memory of Captain James Wadell, commander of the Confederate Raider 'Shenandoah.'
Of special note is the communion silver, sent to the church by King William III in 1695, engraved with his royal coat of arms; and a large 1764 Prayer Book that was used until about 1805, with a prayer for the President of the United States written in ink to replace the printed one for King George III.
Several stained glass windows include the beautiful St. Anne's Memorial Window, crafted by Tiffany and Co., secured by the church after the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The church is open daily.
