Jessie is located in eastern North Dakota in northern Griggs County about 50 miles northeast of Jamestown along Highway 65 about 5 miles west of the Sheyenne River. Although there are several smaller lakes on which to fish and relax, most watersports activists head southeast to Lake Ashtabula, about 20 miles from town, or Devils Lake, about 30 miles to the northwest.
