Hill Public Library, serving an area of 1,000 residents, has a collection of 6,900 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 30 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 69 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $140. Patrons make 1,260 visits annually, and check out materials 8,800 times. Seven percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
