Founded in 1892, this is a land-grant and urban-grant institution, offering programs in liberal arts, business, engineering, human services, nursing and pharmacy. The 1248 acre campus is in a small town 30 miles south of Providence. Including residence halls, there are 314 buildings.

In addition, active fraternities, sororities and over 90 clubs and organizations are on campus. Campus tours are available on request.
