Located five miles west of Fairbanks on the Parks Hwy, this historical site operated as a gold camp until 1958. It now includes the Malemute Saloon, a bunkhouse buffet, a gift shop and a light show of the aurora borealis.

Nearby is the Ester Gold Camp Hotel, and RV parking/showers. The dinner buffet includes baked halibut, reindeer stew, country fried chicken and Alaska crab.

The Malemute Saloon has live Music and Theater performances with songs, music, dance, stories and Robert Service poetry. Reservations advised.

The camp is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
