This hilltop visitors center has wildlife mounts, plus information on canoeing, hiking and camping. There is a one mile nature trail and observation platform. Books, posters and videos are sold here.

This refuge, now nearly 2 million acres, was created in 1941 (as the Kenai National Moose Range). It is also home to large numbers of Dall sheep and other wild game.

The visitors center is open daily.
