Kodiak Island is famous for its large population of brown bears, estimated at around 3,000. These bears feed on salmon along the lakes and streams. Rohrer Bear Camp, situated within Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, allows excellent bear viewing opportunities. Trips to Rohrer Bear Camp are customized for families and small groups. Fishing and wildlife viewing trips are offered.
