DeWitt is located in Arkansas County (of which is the county seat), southeast of Stuttgart, between Almyra and Deluce, situated at the junction of Hwy 130, Hwy 153 and US Hwy 165, near the Little La Grue Bayou.
DeWitt is a mecca for hunters, and Arkansas Post, where Arkansas history literally began. Located on the Grand Prairie, much of the land surrounding DeWitt is devoted to rice, corn and soybean crops.
Another popular attraction to the De Witt area is the Bayou Meto Wildlife Management Area - West of DeWitt and a favorite with duck hunters.
