Jacksonville is located in Pulaski County, just northeast of North Little Rock between Sherwood and Cabot, off of Hwy 89 near Camp Joseph T. Robinson Federal Reservation. Jacksonville is part of the Little Rock-North Little Rock, Arkansas metro area.

Jacksonville was first settled around 1823.

Today, this community has a solid industrial base, along with Little Rock Air Force Base, providing Jacksonville with the essential elements for stability, growth, and a bright future.
