The Stone County Medical Center, its physicians, surgeons, and other specialists are the core of the Mountain View area's medical facilities. Private practitioners include doctors, dentists, an orthopaedic surgeon, an optometrist, and chiropractors. There is a fully staffed physical rehabilitation department staffed providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Other visiting medical specialists also support the community on a weekly basis.
