A series of boat lanes meander through timber, marshes and oxbow cutoffs, making Milwood Lake a `tree-filled` fishing haven.
Famous for bass tournaments, this 29,500 acre lake abounds in largemouth and white bass. Spring and fall offer great crappie fishing and summer offers easy catches or catfish and bream. Bird watching is popular with a variety of year-round bird life and eagles in winter.
Facilities include 117 campsites; 114 preferred and Class A and three tent/picnic.
Also available are picnic sites, a standard pavillion, self-guided walking trail and bicycle trail.
