Sheridan is located in Grant County (of which it is the county seat), south of Little Rock, between Malvern and Pine Bluff at the intersection of US Hwy 270 & US Hwy 167. Also situated near Hurricane Creek, the Saline River and Jenkins Ferry Battleground Historical Monument.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,656, an increase of 558 since 1990.
This community was named for General Philip Sheridan. Attractions throughout the Sheridan area include: Grant County Museum & Heritage Village, Jenkins' Ferry Battlefield State Park, Rhonda Compton Antiques.
