Fredonia is located in Coconino County. Fredonia is the most northern town in Coconino County. The town is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 89 and State Highway 389 near the Utah border. Fredonia is four miles south of the Utah-Arizona border in the Arizona Strip.
This section is unspoiled due to its location. It is cut off from the rest of Arizona because the Grand Canyon is to its south making it difficult to reach. In order to reach this piece of land, one must drive around the Grand Canyon.
Fredonia is a very small town, yet it is the largest community in the Arizona Strip. Mormons, who were seeking freedom, first settled the town.
