Kingman is located in Mohave County, of which it is the county seat, west of Flagstaff between Boulder City and Williams along Highway 66 near the Colorado River and the Nevada state line.

Kingman is part of the Las Vegas, Nevada-Arizona metro area.

Visitors and residents of Kingman may take the opportunity to visit the newly opened Powerhouse Route 66 Museum. The museum features the history of the transportation along the 35th parallel. Arizona boasts the longest stretch of Route 66.

The White Cliffs Wagon Trail Park is another major attraction of the town. Visitors can explore a piece of history along the wagon road that was once used to bring ore from the Stockton Hill Mines to the railroad. The town is also situated where residents can take advantage of many outdoor activities.
