One can enjoy swimming, parasailing, and water skiing. Relaxing on a houseboat, you can see native pictographs, magnificent waterfalls and clear creeks flowing over boulders, forming pools and rapids.
There are floating mini-marts which provide essentials to houseboaters. The community of Sicamous offers tours of the lake on a sternwheeler, the Phoebe Ann. With 1000 km of navigable shoreline, the Shuswap is the water recreation haven of the High Country region.
