The Archive and Museum for Flemish Cultural Life reopens in 2002 following renovations.
The AMVC is the central archive and documentation center for Flemish literature, stage arts, music, and visual arts. Founded in 1933 as the Museum of Flemish Literature, the diversity of the bequests with which it was immediately entrusted led to a gradual broadening in mission, and the present name was adopted in 1945. The rotating exhibits of the museum are drawn from the collections.
