Butt Valley Reservoir, noted for huge rainbow and brown trout, has been drawn down for the last couple of years to allow work on the dam; however it should return soon to trophy trout status.
Butt Valley is at its best with flies, jigs and small lures in the inlet when the powerhouse is running.
