Carpinteria a world-renowned surfing area at Rincon Point, and a beautiful swimming beach. Over 800,000 visitors come annually to swim, picnic, fish and hike at Carpinteria State Beach Park. Visitors enjoy the warm coast weather with temperatures ranging between 60 and 80 degrees.

The City of Carpinteria Incorporated in 1965. The population of Carpinteria is slightly over 19,000.

Carpinteria is located in Santa Barbara County just south of Santa Barbara between Santa Barbara and Ventura along US Highway 101 near Lake Casitas and the Pacific Ocean. Carpinteria is part of the Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Lompoc metro area.
