Located at the end of the fishing pier at Seacliff State Beach lies the USS Palo Alto, one of only three cement ships built during World War I. The cement ship has been a popular attraction for visitors since it was put in place in 1929.
Original plans were to turn the ship into a large amusement center. Unfortunately, the company in charge of those plans went bankrupt and the ship was not converted into an amusement center. Visitors to Seacliff State Beach can enjoy camping in the small RV area, swimming and sunbathing.
The park is open from sunrise to sunset.
