The Cobb Mountain Area, "Where the forest meets the sky", offers visitors clean air, clear waters, and tall trees. There are abundant trails for hikers, mountain bikers, wilderness seekers, and lovers of the outdoors, at Bogg's Mountain State Demonstration Forest. Fishing, bird watching, and sightseeing are year-round activities that visitors can enjoy.
Cobb Mountain is the highest peak of the Mayacamas Range at 4,722 feet and forms the Lake and Sonoma County's boundary in this area.
Cobb Mountain offers numerous hot springs, between Mount St. Helena and Mount Hannah. At its foot, the community of Cobb lies in a small valley northwest of Middletown on Highway 175.
