The North Fork of the Feather River originates in northern California in the Lassen Volcanic National Park. Flowing through Lake Almanor, it flows south into Lake Oroville, where it is joined by the waters of the South and Middle forks. After flowing through Oroville, the river heads south. Joining with the Yuba River at Marysville and Yuba City, it continues south until it flows into the Sacramento River about fifteen miles from Sacramento.
