The school that today is Azusa Pacific University is the product of the merger of three Southern California-area Christian institutions. These three respective colleges are: Azusa College, Los Angeles Pacific College, and Arlington College. The origins of APU date back to 1899.
APU has 5 schools and 1 college: The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Schools of Business and Management, Education and Behavioral Studies, Music, Nursing and the Haggard School of Theology.
To facilitate scholarship and provide service to students, they have established the following centers: Accelerated Degree Programs (CADP), Research in Science (CRIS) and Research in Ethics and Values (CREV).
The University is located in Azusa, Los Angeles County, CA with a total enrollment of about 6000 students.
Athletic scholarships are given in football, basketball, baseball, track/cross country and other sports and student housing is available for 1423.
