Southwestern College is located on a 156-acre suburban campus in the heart of eastern Chula Vista. Established in 1961, the College has evolved into a comprehensive facility, helping thousands of students achieve their specific educational goals.

Uniquely situated at international crossroads adjacent to the U.S. border with Mexico, Southwestern College serves approximately 17,000 students at various stages in their individual educational journeys.

The College has added several new programs including hazardous materials handling, specialized emergency medical services training, and new electronic and manufacturing technologies.

The Small Business Development and International Trade Center provides business students and the business community with services, information, and seminars to access the international market--with special focus on the maquiladora industry, importing/exporting regulations, international law. and foreign trade zones.
