The Kern County Fairgrounds are home to the Great Kern County Fair, held each year in September. The fairgrounds is host to many annual events including car shows, gem and mineral shows, the Pacific Coast Oil Show, equestrian events, rodeos and much more.

The Kern County Fairgrounds was established at its current site in the early 1950s to showcase the countys largest annual event. The 168-acre site is beautifully landscaped. The fairgrounds are just minutes from downtown Bakersfield and convenient to several hotels.

The fairgrounds hold several venues that can accommodate a small party for 50 to 3,900 guests for rodeos.
