When Mission Hospital opened its doors in 1971, a new era of medicine was launched in south Orange County, and stories of dedication, compassion and medical triumph have been unfolding ever since.

As the largest medical center in south county and the area's designated trauma center, Mission Hospital offers a broad range of services on their modern campus, allowing them to treat more complex medical conditions in a variety of specialties, including comprehensive heart, cancer, maternity, rehabilitation, orthopaedics, vascular and stroke care.

Mission Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the nationwide authority that surveys hospitals and based on certain health and safety requirements, decides whether a hospital gets, keeps or loses accreditation. In addition, their centers of excellence as well as several departments are recognized by related accrediting organizations.
