Pomona is in proximity to seven renowned universities, community colleges and vocational schools educating more than 95,000 students in the area. Pomona is located in Los Angeles County 15 miles east of the city of Los Angeles and between Covina and Riverside. Pomona is about 10 miles south of Angeles National Forest on Hwy-60. There is also a Pomona, Illinois. Pomona is part of the Los Angeles-Long Beach, California metro area.
