Shingletown is nestled in the foothills of Mt. Lassen in Shasta County. The community is characterized by beautiful forested areas with beautiful creeks and small lakes. State Highway 44 is the major access through Shingletown. Recreation plays an important role in Shingletown with fishing and mountain sports readily available for residents are visitors. Lakes McCumber, Grace and Nora, Battlecreek Reservoir and Hat Creek along with numerous creeks and streams attract fishermen from around the country. Only 19 miles from the entrance to Lassen National Park, Shingletown residents can enjoy camping, sightseeing, back packing, fishing, picnicking, skiing, and more.
