The Valley of the Moon is accessed by Hwy-12 between Santa Rosa and Sonoma. Jack London's "Wolf House" and many rural homes, farms and wineries dot the scenery.
Getting quite hot in the summertime, the local climate is perfect for grape, nuts and all vegetables, but specializes in grapes.
Hwy-12 is on the California Scenic Highway list. The highway offers views of many wineries and rural life. Beginning at Annadel State Park toward the southeast to Agua Caliente the scenic drive trails through some of California's richest wine country.
Many people enjoy a visit to the 800 acre Jack London State Historic Park.
