The Derby Hill area bears the name of one of the most prominent pioneer families who established their farm on Derby Hill in 1873. The area is now a lovely residential area located within a few minutes of downtown Loveland where the majestic Rocky Mountains meet the Colorado plains. Loveland, often called the Gateway to the Rocky Mountains, is nestled against the foothills and is at the heart of one of the nation's great scenic and recreation areas.
