Colonial Cape (1720) with unusual architectural details. Built before the Civil War, the Daniel Benton Homestead is now a museum - with the reputation of being haunted. The apparition looks like a woman, believed to be a Civil War-era woman named Jemima, who nursed her dying fiance who was dying of smallpox. After he died, she also succumbed to the disease. Other ghostly manifestations include men's voices in the basement, cold spots, and feelings of terrible sadness.
