Deal was an important shipping center through the early 19th
century. Under the reign of Henry VIII, 3 castles--Deal,
Walmer and Sandown--were created. According to legend, Caesar's
landing ocurred in Deal when the Romans invaded Britain. The
coast off Deal, called Goodwin Sands is a popular attraction.
Deal is located near Dover in Southeastern England.
