The town of Rochester located in Southeast England appears
often in the works of Charles Dickens. His home, Gad's Hill,
is located here. A popular attraction is Rochester Castle,
a massive Norman fortress erected in the 11th century and
rebuilt during the 14th century. Other attractions include
Rochester Cathedral, which is set on a 7th-century foundation
and was built during the 13th century, and Dickens Center, named
in honor of Dickens himself.
