One of the finest college art museums in the Southeast, the Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College houses a collection of more than 6,000 objects. The Cornell is home to the oldest collection in Florida, the first paintings having been donated to Rollins College more than a century ago. The collection ranges from the Renaissance and Baroque periods to a number of fine examples of 20th-century art, with important holdings in European and American paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts. The Cornell Museum hosts traveling exhibitions and other programs that include public lectures, gallery talks, concerts, films, and workshops for teachers and children. Admission to the museum is free to the public; open daily, except Mondays and major holidays.
