This 3,950-acre park offers camping, picnicking, canoe rentals, and seasonal swimming in an ADA-accessible swimming pool. Nature trails allow visitors to wander through the hammocks which border the scenic Hillsborough River. Canoeing and freshwater fishing are also available; the Hillsborough River has one Florida's only class III rapids, and canoes are not allowed to travel up this part of the river. Also located within the park is a historic site, Fort Foster; presenting living history programs and fort tours. Full-facility and primitive campsites are offered, as well as a concession stand. Located 12 miles north of Tampa, or 6 miles south of Zephyrhills.
