Putnam Community Medical Center, a 141-bed, acute care facility, located on Highway 20 West in Palatka, Florida, provides the latest in technology with the assurance of highly trained, caring professionals to the residents of Putnam County. The hospital provides individualized care directed to the specific needs of each patient. Putnam Community Medical Center offers a 10-bed critical care unit, skilled nursing unit, progressive care unit, medical and surgical units, family birthplace center, and a 24-hour emergency department.

Originally established in 1959 on Palm Avenue, Putnam Memorial Hospital was a county-owned facility operated by the Seventh Day Adventists. In 1975, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) purchased and built Putnam Community Hospital at its current site.
