Recently renamed, Art Center Sarasota is the result of a merger of two long-standing galleries and studios, along with their associated memberships. Art Center Sarasota continues a tradition of art education and exhibits spanning more than 60 years. Art Center Sarasota supports visual arts by providing quality art education and focusinging interest on works by local artists. Expanded services, as well as renovated classrooms and gallery space are planned for the near future. Visitors will still enjoy the Sally and Sam Shapiro Sculpture Garden, as well as special events, workshops, and children's and adult art classes sponsored by the Center.
