The mission of the Weinman Mineral Museum is to educate and inspire a diverse audience of students, enthusiasts and visitors about geology with an emphasis on Georgia, by providing unique experiences through exhibits, programs, special events and outreach in an engaging and fun environment. The lobby of the museum hosts a pink calcite specimen from the New York Quarry in Marble Hill.
