Haiku is located in Maui County on the northern coast of Maui Island, between Makawao and Pauwela along Hwy 398 near Haiku Reservoir and Maliko Gulch.

Haiku has no beaches within walking distance, but is just mere minutes to the north shores of Kihei, Wailea, and Makena beaches. It is also just a five minute drive from the world famous Ho’okipa windsurfing beach, one of the best places on the island for windsurfing. Activities available in the area include swimming, surfing, horseback riding, biking, golf and helicopter rides. Surrounded by lush tropical jungle, the town of Haiku is near Halehaku Bay, and many secluded hiking trails and walking paths. It is just far enough away from the crowds to offer privacy, yet is close enough to all the attractions and activities to make it convenient.
