In just a few years, this event has grown into one of the major marathons in the US. It is held in early December and is now Honolulu's best known race. For info, write to the Honolulu Marathon Association. On most Sunday mornings, the Dept of Parks & Rec hold a Honolulu Marathon Clinic at Kapiolani Park Bandstand at 7:30am. Runners join groups at their level of experience.
