To reach this point of interest, take Kalanianaole Hwy to Makapuu Head. Look for the No Vehicles Allowed sign on the gate to the right of the paved trail, just past Hawaii Kai Golf Course. Follow the abandoned road to the trail to the point. The lighthouse has guided mariners for years around Diamond Head. It is located just beyond Makapuu Beach, across from Sea Life Park near Waimanalo.
