Located on the northwest coast of Kauai is accessible by boat from Hanalei or the 11 mile Kalalau Trail that begins at Haena State Park. The park includes the coastal area and small beaches at the base of lava cliffs.
Helicopter flights from Princeville or Lihue can provide an aerial view of the park. Zodiac inflatables can land campers and hikers on the beaches along the cliffs. Swimming is dangerous along this coast from September to May due to ocean currents.
The park is open 24 hours daily at no charge. Call for information and weather conditions.
