Opened in 1993 to replace ones lost to lava flows. It is located on the Kapoho Coast southeast of Pahoa. It is 2.5 miles south of the junction of Hwys 132 and 137 in the Puna District. The park is a three acre site with a large pond for swimming. The ocean nearby is too rough most days for safe swimming, but the pond is OK. There are also picnic tables, potable water and restroom facilities.
