Mercy Medical Center of Des Moines is a 917-bed acute care, not-for-profit Catholic hospital, located on three Des Moines campuses. It is Des Moines' longest continually-operating hospital, founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1893. MMC maintains a network of health care facilities in 15 rural communities, including the West Indies.
