Hagerman Public Library, serving an area of 660 residents, has a collection of 8,400 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 22 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $3,400. Patrons make 2,400 visits annually, and check out materials 3,100 times. Twenty-two percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
