Hansen, serving an area of 2,600 residents, has a collection of 11,500 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 100 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 440 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $9,600. Patrons make 6,600 visits annually, and check out materials 11,500 times. Twenty-five percent of all check-outs are children's materials.

Eastern Idaho State Fair Blackfoot ID August31-September7 The Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot begins Labor Day and features horse racing, demolition derby, rodeo, and top name stars along with the excitement of the midway rides and wide range of food booths. The fair has all the traditional elements of an agricultural fair, including exhibits and 4-H competition.
