Passavant is a 168-bed community hospital serving the residents of Morgan, Cass, Greene, Scott, and Macoupin counties in west central Illinois. Passavant is supported by a staff of 600 employees, both full and part-time. Providing high-quality healthcare has been a trademark of Passavant Area Hospital since its beginning over a century ago. Passavant's employees strive to give their best as caregivers and support staff for the patients who choose Passavant for their healthcare needs. Passavant's range of healthcare services is broad, covering every age group, from newborns to seniors. In addition to the daily care of the ill and injured, Passavant also promotes the importance of preventative healthcare through its numerous community wellness and educational programs. In 1953, a new Passavant Memorial Area Hospital was opened at its current location. This year, Passavant Area Hospital is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
